Last week, on 8 and 9 November, KrY’s team went to the districts of Chheb and Cheysen in the province of Preah Vihear to check the progress of the construction work of five new pre-school buildings.
This new project will support 5 pre-schools with 10 classes in the two districts of Chheb and Cheysen. And so far, we are happy to say that the construction works of the 5 pre-schools are going well!
The goal of this new project which started in August 2021 is to improve access to quality education for vulnerable children aged 3 to 5 in two rural districts of the province of Preah Vihear.
From 2017 to 2020, KrY implemented a three-years pilot project in 4 different districts of Preah Vihear targeting 16 different pre- schools. This project focused on rural and remote communities of the province of Preah Vihear and gave good results. Now, KrY would like to scale up this first project by continuing to support pre-school education in other underserved districts for another three years!
