The early childhood sub-committee was established in 1996 aiming at:

o Strengthening early childhood activities in Cambodia to meet the needs of national development;

o Advocating early childhood related to policies and action plans of the Royal Government of Cambodia

o Sharing experience on early childhood with civil society and the government

o Disseminating new findings relevant to early childhood care and development within parents and those whose the children are with

o Discovering new research/documents (stories, songs and games) to respond to the children’s need
