On June 10 th, Krousar Yoeung Association (KrY) organized an e-learning workshop with pre-school teachers through the application Messenger on its new Facebook page. The discussions focused on the results of the first School Readiness Test for 5 years – old kids in the preschools located in Tboung Khmum province of group2.

This meeting was organized and delivered by KrY’s staff expert on early childhood with the technical support of the Early Childhood Resource Center (ECRC). This online meeting was part of the Happy Cambodian Children (HCC) Project which is supported by the Kin Chan Foundation. It lasted for two hours with the aim of meeting with kindergarten teachers to discuss about the results of the first School Readiness Test for 5 years- old kids.

Teachers and KrY’s staff expert on early childhood reviewed together the 18 indicators of the tests and the results of each schools assessed. Then they discussed together on how to improve the pedagogy or to improve the teaching materials and methodology to help children having difficulties on some competencies get better results at the next test and be fully prepared to enter primary school by the end of the year. There are 7 target preschools in Tboung Khmum Province that were present at this workshop: Svay Tamek , Chrok Rumdeng, Samakum, Memay, Pa Av, Teuk Chrov and Kanchae.
